PREPARATORY COURSES |
This is the class that will give you the basic knowledge of anatomy and movement needed for a full understanding of Bender training systems educations. This class is for individuals who would like to become a Personal Trainer, Pilates instructor, or group fitness instructor. The class will include biomechanics, anatomy, basics of movement, terminology, and everything that is needed to successfully complete mat1 and reformer 1 certifications. |
MAT CLASSES |
These courses are based on learning the principles of core exercises that are the foundations of mat training. Each student will walk away with a clearer understanding of why you are doing certain exercises and for whom they are appropriate for. You will learn how to assess postural problems and how specific exercises can benefit students. You will learn the reason Bender Training teaches a much more functional and safer approach to Pilates mat training. You will see the differences of why today’s society cannot perform some traditional exercises that were designed for elite athletes. Each student will be required to complete a written and practical examination. 30 practical hours required. |
REFORMER CLASSES |
Functional Reformer is the most progressive Reformer certification in the industry. You will learn the importance and how to do full postural assessing and the appropriate exercises that benefit client’s specific needs. Bender Training believes that to be a thinking instructor you should understand the purpose of every movement and the muscles involved that make it happen. You will learn how to teach a base level class to healthy clients and how to modify each and every exercise. You will learn spring load variations and that certain loading is inappropriate and why students do not get the correct results or experience injury. Bender Training is the only education that will teach you an approach that meets today’s needs and how to understand the way in which we move. Learn the difference in traditional and functional methods and names of exercises. Both written and practical exam required. 30 practical hours required. |
PILATES EQUIPMENT |
This course is designed for the trainer who has completed reformer 1 through 3 training. You will learn all the necessary functional exercises performed on the tower, why and who they are appropriate for. You will learn how to utilize the tower from functional exercises to sport specific. The tower is a great and unique tool for students to accomplish better body alignment and awareness. Exercises will range from standing to supine to using a large stability ball for functional training. Learn a bio-mechanically safer approach to challenge your student’s abilities and core awareness. Learn how to activate and isolate specific muscle groups in all exercises. Learn specific core exercises unique to Bender Training methodologies. Learn how to think outside the box and utilize the tower as never seen before. |

KINESIOLOGY IN CLAY |
Functional Kinesiology in Clay is a brand new, hands-on approach to understanding anatomy, motion and function. Building the muscles and fascia out of clay gives the student a new way experiencing the body. Because the classes are experiential, with building the muscles, acting out the kinesiology and experiencing the exercises and motions that influence the body, this class will give even the most educated students a whole new prospective and understanding of how the body works. |
