THE ALL NEW REFORMER ON THE MAT WITH GLIDING AND THE BENDER BALL

This class was one of the best received of 2007!  Simulating traditional reformer exercises utilizing small equipment that either the Pilates trainer or fitness professional can utilize instead of large equipment. This class offers the understanding of muscular weaknesses and how to address exercises for specific postural needs. Traditional Pilates was designed for dancers and not the general population. It is important to recognize today’s society and the way we move and the activities we are involved in. This class gives you the ability to match the student to the specific exercise.

  1. Learn specific exercises for specific postural issues.
  2. Learn how to assess postural issues and how by utilizing Gliding and the Bender ball you will create a safer and more effective program for the general population.
  3. Learn how to activate the core muscles more efficiently than that of just a mat.

THE ALL NEW MEN ON MATS

This dynamic class offers a safer and more efficient way to train men in Pilates. Men do not attend Pilates mat courses due to they are to dance oriented and too difficult. Men do not move like women and have less flexibility. Learn how to utilize the Bender Ball and create exercises that will greatly improve their flexibility and strength and overall wellbeing to improve all activities.

  1. Learn specific exercises that release tight back and hamstring muscles that inhibit performance.
  2. Learn how to market the male population and get them into class.

LOOKING AT POSTURAL DEVIATIONS FOR THE PERSONAL TRAINER AND CORRECTIVE EXERCISES UTILIZING THE BENDER BALL, GLIDING AND TUBING LECTURE AND MOVEMENT

Each client has different postural issues and they need to be addressed. By continuously training stronger muscle groups we are forgetting the weaker ones that ultimately affect our posture. Many clients complain of low or upper back pain and yet they have never known why. Learn how to assess your client from the foot up and learn how to detect the weaker links. You will see by detecting problems you will know which exercises are more efficient for your client.

  1. This is an intense workshop and should be attended by a trainer with at least a minimum of 1-2 years of experience and a basic knowledge of anatomy.
  2. This will give you the tools to see deviations and corrective exercises for maximum benefits.
  3. Learn how to utilize scales and blood pressure cuffs to detect postural deviations.

PILATES FOR ATHLETES UTILIZING THE REFORMER

This class is for the trainer looking to train the athletic client from golfing to skiing. You will learn bio-mechanical functional exercises to help them improve their game. You will be able to address common injuries and what you can do to help them. You will be able to look at common postural deviations related to the sport and body typing. Learn that too high a spring load can be detrimental to certain body types who are not looking for muscular hypertrophy.
