Bender Training Academy
Leslee Bender 2010 finalist for IDEA Instructor of the year, has over 25 years experience in the fitness industry. Leslee has presented internationally in over 20 countries. And, is the creator of the Bender Method of training with 2007 infomercial of the year short form. Leslee has produced over 30 DVD’s and has created one of the safest methods of core training. Leslee is a graduate of Gray Institute of Applied Functional Science 2011.

This is the first and only safe method of Barre training for the fitness professional that will not over utilize the student’s hip flexors creating low back pain or even injuries like many other programs. Integrated Training for Life: Bender Method Foundations
This course focuses on how to safely incorporate the BenderBall™ in all forms of classes. There is a specific way to utilize the bell so that student experience great results without ever feeling back pain. You will learn the importance of how to do ‘basic’ postural assessing in order to give your students the exercises that are appropriate for them. For new instructors this course is very beneficial to get them on the right track of core training. Also the new instructor will learn the truth that the core is not just from crunches but how to move your body in all three planes is core training.

Integrated Training for Life: Floor to Core
The ultimate in vertical core training This session will open your eyes to the fascia continuities of your body and that your body is the core. Lying on your back and kicking your legs is only about 6% activation of the Transverse Abdominus and the rest is your hip flexors. So why do antiquated training techniques when you can experience your body in all three planes of movement. Many forms of ‘classical” exercise techniques are just that of lying on the back however students are becoming injured and suffering pain so why not become an instructor ready to experience what your body was meant to do utilizing gravity?
Integrated Training For Life: Mind Body Fusion
This course is where the mind and body meet for a course in fusion of Pilates. Yoga and body flowing exercises utilize the Bender Ball™ in all exercises for a dynamic program for all fitness professionals. You do not need classical experience in any of traditional disciplines as there is a format to this course that allows you teach a mindful class in a completely ‘safe” environment. This course does not incorporate traditional Pilates exercises due to the amount of time spent on the floor bur rather embraces Pilates term of Contrology of the mind dictates the movement of the body,
COURSES FOR THE MORE EXPERIENCED TRAINER with 1-2 years of teaching experience in group or personal training and mind body.
ANATOMY IN ACTION
This dynamic course gives you how to feel, see and touch how your muscles react to gravity and ground reaction and that your core is your entire body when you understand how to utilize it. Inspired by Gary Gray Leslee Bender has taken an approach that trainers can take away and utilize with their clients. Each client has special needs and when you understand how they walk, squat, move in all three planes will give you the crucial cues of what kinds of exercises that will help hem to function better.
* Experience the reaction of gravity to your muscles and understand that muscles need to and prefer to be lengthened and understanding this concept will help you to see that only shortening exercises like crunches on the floor serve very little purpose
* See why postural deviations affect our entire kinetic chain and why we as trainers can dramatically change for the better the way in which clients move.

TRI-PLANE PILATES
This course is a logically safer approach to Pilates mat training due to there is no exercises that will in any way harm either the lumbar or cervical spine due to we do not do antiquated core training on the floor. This is the modern day approach to standing exercises but embracing the principles of ‘contrology” but for today’s’ society and student that spends over 70% of their day sitting over a computer or texting. The core starts from the floor and the feet up and we need to start looking at the ground reaction of gravity to how it affects our body and this session will do just that with the use of small props for a class for the students of today not the elite dancers of Joe’ era.

THIS IS THE TIME TO BE VERY SUCCESSFUL AS A TRAINER AND BE ON THE HEALTHY BACK MISSION There are millions of people who live on pain medication and suffer from back pain both chronic and acute. This is costing us billions in health care and, it can be stopped why? Our students see us more than they may see a medial professional yet they are still living with pain. This program is about the back business and how you can give the corrective exercises PROVEN to stop back pain for good.
BENDER BALL™ BOOT CAMP Total Body Conditioning
GET READY FOR 2012!!!
This session is all about function and how your body reacts to gravity and how to use it. You will experience the WHY and purpose of EACH exercise. This is not a course where everyone is simply a number but an individual and, learn why you move differently and which exercises will transform you. Feel and experience each exercise and be ready to be empowered by this form of training utilizing the Bender Ball™, Gliding™ and tubing.
TRANSFORMATIONAL POSTURE
This course was oversold in 2011 so here is a new approach for 2012 with research from Gary Gray, Stuart Mcgill and those who have spent their life studying human movement. We as trainers can dramatically change the way in which our clients move if we understand where the dysfunctions are coming from. FEET AND FUNCTION WITH THE CHI-BOLSTER™
The chi-bolster is a product you must experience to appreciate. Why do you have low or upper back pain, headaches or even lack of motivation to move. When your fascia becomes dehydrated and you have been training incorrectly you will start to feel the negative affects it has on the rest of your body over time. This session shows you the simple techniques of reflexology and correct movement patterns to give you a healthier you!
REHABILITATIVE PILATES WITH THE CHI-BOLSTER™
The Chi-bolster offers a unique tool to utilize with clients needing rehabilitative exercises for the feet, back , neck and hips. Most common injuries in traditional Pilates are to the neck and back due to the overutilization of overworked muscle groups. You will walk away with the necessary tools to understand what causes these injuries and above all how to avoid them and never harm your students. The exercises are based on research from Stuart Mcgill, Gary Gray and the Gray Institute
